Simplicity is achieved with Solar Community, as we handle the entire paperwork process for you. With Solar Community helming the whole procedure, it couldn’t be easier for you!
Federal: Save With a Tax Credit
The same U.S. Federal Credit applies to every new system installation at a flat 30% of the full system price after installation, with no upper limit. Solar Community will provide you with the document necessary to add to your tax forms. The discount comes for you as a tax credit. All applicable photovoltaic systems must provide electricity for the residence and must meet applicable fire and electrical code requirements. State: Delmarva Power - Green Energy Program Incentives
Under the program, incentives are available for the installation of qualifying photovoltaic (PV), solar water heating, wind turbine, fuel cell, and geothermal heat pump systems. Under the investor-owned program, 40% of rebate funding is available for residential customers and 60% of funding is available for non-residential customers, including energy efficiency education programs. For solar PV, the general incentive is $1.25/W for the first 5 kW of capacity (0-5 kW), $0.75/W for the next 5 kW (5-10 kW), and $0.35/W for the next 40 kW (10-50 kW). The maximum incentive is $15,000 for residential projects and $24,000 for non-residential systems. The general incentive for solar thermal is $1.00 per annual kWh saved, up to $5,000 for residential systems and $10,000 for non-residential systems.
Local: DEMEC Member Utilities - Green Energy Program Incentives
Delaware's municipal utilities provide incentives for solar photovoltaic (PV), solar thermal, wind, geothermal, and fuel cell systems installed by their electric customers. Incentives are available to both residential and non-residential member-owners, generally up to $15,000 for residential systems and $30,000 for non-residential systems. Both grid-connected and off-grid PV and wind energy systems are eligible for incentives. For solar hot water incentives are, 50% of installed costs (except 25% for Lewes), up to $3,000 (except $2,500 for Lewes) for residential systems that pre-heat water for hot water systems, $5,000 (except $2,500 for Lewes) for residential systems used in radiant heating applications. The incentives for solar PV are 33.3% of installed costs (25% for Lewes), up to $15,000 for residential systems ($7,500 for Lewes) and $30,000 for non-residential systems.
Local: Dover Public Utilities - Green Energy Program Incentives
The Dover Green Energy Incentives program is unique in that the incentive levels and limits are distinctly different from those offered by the other municipal utilities, as well as those offered by Delmarva Power and the Delaware Electric Cooperative. The general incentive for solar PV is $1.25/W for the first 5 kW of capacity (0-5 kW), $0.75/W for the next 5 kW (5-10 kW), and $0.35/W for the next 40 kW (10-50 kW). The maximum incentive is $7,500 for residential projects. For solar hot water, the general incentive is $1.00 per annual kWh saved, up to $2,500 for residential systems.
